Adventure Schools is committed to building a resource for outdoor professionals and enthusiasts to obtain certification in Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder.
Realizing the importance for everyone that plays in the outdoors to be competent in performing the necessary skills in the event of an emergency, Adventure Schools has established a relationship with SOLO, a nationally recognized provider since 1976. Courses are designed to teach the skills and knowledge necessary for a safe, successful rescue operation or outdoor venture. This two-day, 16-hour course is taught by a SOLO (Stone Hearth Open Learning Opportunities) instructor.
The wilderness medical course covers basic wilderness first aid, including prevention and treatment wilderness injuries.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a two year certification from SOLO.
Day 1:
In order for Adventure School to guarantee the course will take place, we will need a minimum of 15 students is required by SOLO to send an instructir to our area.
